The Bridges of Lordville, Wellington Lester. Contains many photos and illustrations. After attempts by Pennsylvania businessmen to obtain approval for a bridge between the communities of Equinunk and Lordville, John Lord, Chauncey Gardner, and Alva I. Lord of Lordville finally raised the capital for the Lordville and Equinunk Bridge Company. The Roebling Bridge Company, under the direction of Washington Roebling in New Jersey and E. F. Farrington on the job site, managed to open the first Lordville bridge on January 1, 1870. Two more would be built. An intricate tale of the three bridges spiced with thoughts about the users of the bridge, events of everyday life, and uncommon events.

Samuel Preston 1789-1989 From Buckingham to Buckingham. Samuel Preston, surveyor and land agent for Henry Drinker, first saw the Tockpollock (Stockport) area on the Delaware River on November 3, 1788. Sometime during 1789, he became a joint and equal partner with Drinker in the acquisition and development of lands in the area around Stockport, Equinunk Manor in (then) Northampton County, Pennsylvania, and in the area of Cookhouse (Deposit), New York. The book contains the exact field notes written by Preston in 1789, excerpts from correspondence between Preston and Drinker, and considerable information on the related Pitcher and Randall families.

Damascus Manor, Alsup Vail Tyler. Written by Tyler in the 1920's, published in 1936, and republished by Equinunk Historical Society in 1986. We first hear about Damascus Manor in 1755 when Joseph Skinner and Moses Thomas came from Connecticut to Cushetunk on a tour of investigation. It is probable, however, that Thomas came much earlier. In a few years, there were more Connecticut people in this area along the Delaware. It seems that there are many descendants of those early Connecticut settlers still within the confines of Damascus Manor, or very near to it.
